The new KS Suspension Reverse Southpaw lever makes cable routing easier and cleaner, and makes it so you can run your cable in either direction. The benefit is that, regardless of which dropper seatpost model or brand you’re using, if it’s actuated with a cable, this lever will work with it. That’s thanks to a multi-function cable port that can either use a set screw to clamp down on the open end, or simply trap the ferrule on the fixed end.
The other change from the original design is that the cable port is has moved to the underside of the lever, which improves appearances. That also means you’re less likely to poke your thumb on any protruding cable.
Ships in March 2019, only be for OEM customers at first. But we suspect it’ll make its way to aftermarket eventually. Fits SRAM Matchmaker and Shimano i-Spec II and i-Spec EV brake clamps.
The RAGE-i is new entry level dropper post that upgrades the overall design to be more like their higher end posts. The RAGE-i integrates the cartridge into the stanchion, like on KS’ LEV series, which is a lot lighter, averaging about 100g savings depending on the size and travel. But it keeps the lower cost closed cartridge design and related internals to keep the price down. Retail will be just $189-$199, offered in 75/100/125/150 travels and 30.9/31.6 diameters.
The LEV Ci is their lightweight carbon-shaft dropper post, and it’s getting more travel in the smaller diameters. The 27.2 LEV Ci will soon come with up to 120mm travel. That one will measure a total length of 460mm, weight 467g, and use up 285mm of insertion length. It’s an open cartridge let’s you add air to change the rebound speed.
Overall, their saddle rail clamp gets a new design with convex nuts and a less dramatic angle for the bolts, which they say makes it easier to install and adjust.
