Lazer adds style, safety, and more to 2020 MTB, kids, and commuter helmets

Lazer announced their 2020 helmet line, with several new models for kids, commuting, and MTB applications. Launched at Eurobike 2019, the new line includes options for MIPS safety technology, integrated eye protection, LED lighting, and improved ventilation.

Lazer 2020 kids, commuter, and MTB helmets

Shimano-owned Lazer helmets typically does an annual refresh, and 2020 is no exception. We’ll kick it off with the Gekko and Lil’ Gekko kids helmets:

Both helmets feature deep side and rear protection, with an integrated visor to keep sun out of the eyes.

The Gekko line uses Lazer’s patented Autofit Retention System to automatically adjust to the rider’s head. The Lazer Comfort Buckle connects under the chin for pinch-free fastening.

Urbanize
Urbanize

The Urbanize is a commuting and e-bike helmet with integrated low-friction MIPS. A panoramic magnetic lens snaps into place for eye protection, which can be flipped up for storage.

The Urbanize comes with a standard rechargeable rear LED light for nighttime visibility. For cold-weather commuters, it also comes standard with a winter pack, including ear covers and vent plugs.

Cameleon

The Cameleon is a do-it-all helmet for commuting or longer training rides. It uses the Lazer Advanced Rollsys System – the ponytail-friendly adjustment device.

An integrated visor helps to block the sun, while 13 vents keep you cool up top. An optional rechargeable rear LED light clips in to place for nighttime riding.

Lizard

The Lizard is a budget-minded helmet using the patented Autofit system, and is available in MIPS and non-MIPS versions. An optional rear LED light keeps you visible for night riding.

Chiru
