It’s usually pretty easy to get excited about top tier products. The cream of the crop offers all the latest features, the least weight, and biggest performance factor. Unfortunately, those products usually include an equally impressive price tag keeping them out of the reach of many consumers.

That’s why products like Lazer’s new Blade and Magma helmets are so important. Packed with impressive features and weights generally found on more pricey lids, Lazer’s new Premium Budget helmets provide a lot of bang for your buck. Last September, we checked out a few new Lazer helmets at Interbike 2014. We were told the Magma (left) and Blade (right) models would be hitting store shelves for Spring 2015, and Lazer has just announced that they are now available.

While Tyler saw some solid colored pre-production models, Lazer has now finalized their graphics and set suggested pricing for the Blade road lid and Magma MTB helmet. Check out more details after the jump…

The Magma MTB helmet weighs 250 grams with the visor, carries a suggested retail price of $95 $100 and comes in three graphic options- Black, flash yellow and flash orange/black. Despite their different intentions the Blade and Magma helmets both use the same shell, the only difference is the Magma includes a visor. The shells feature 22 large vents, in-mold construction, and are available in small, medium and large sizes.

The cable-actuated Rollsys retention system tightens from all sides for a snug fit.

Both models also feature Lazer’s Rollsys retention system. The Rollsys system employs an external dial easily accessible on top of the helmet. The dial adjusts a cable which connects the rear cradle to the front forehead pads, thereby conforming to the shape of your skull from all sides at once. Furthermore, the rear cradle can be adjusted for height to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.
