Limar is back at it again with a spanking new, ultra-versatile helmet, the Air Star. Tooled for gravel and road riders alike, the Air Star boasts unparalleled ventilation and comfort, standards of the Limar Air Revolution collection.

As the name indicates, air circulation is paramount in the Air Star. There are 19 vents strategically placed for optimum inner airflow. But there is more to it than maximum airflow.

The Air Star comes equipped with a rear red light attached to the helmet adjustment system. This native placement eliminates a separate component and helps minimize the cyclist’s total weight.

The available sizes, medium and large, weigh 230g and 250g, respectively.

If you’re curious about the adjustment system, this Limar equips this model with its Competition+ system for horizontal and vertical tightening on the fly. Dial-in the perfect feel with a spin on the tension knob for a custom fit.

The in-mold triple shell offers full coverage for your noggin without unnecessary bulk. Likely as a nod to lightness and ventilation, this helmet lacks MIPS or similar technologies, which is something to consider when buying a cycling helmet.

Priced at $130, the Air Star is available in eight distinct colorways. There’s likely a design suited to you, from a matte black to a snappy red or a sleek blue.

Air Star Specs:

Technology: In-mould triple shell

Air Vents: 19 air vents, inner airflow channels for extreme ventilation

Sizing System: Competition + Fit System with vertical and horizontal adjustment and webbing connection

Pads: Non-allergenic and washable comfort pads

Light: Helmet led light included

Sizes: M (53-57cm) – L (57-61 cm)

Weights: M 230g – L 250g

I’m on my third MIPS equipped helmet and they all develop hot spots within half hour to an hour. 3 different brands. TLD,bell and Smith.
I did not have this problem with non MIPS helmets. I really like the look of that one.

I agree 100%. They are a lot hotter than a non-MIPS. I’ve noticed most new designs on the higher end helmets better integrate it in. I think those would be a lot better.
