As if the Turner RFX wasn’t cool enough already, now there’s a limited edition build to drool over as well. Starting with the burly, blacked out 160mm travel dw-link suspension frame, Turner has partnered up with Cane Creek and Project 321/Knight Composites to take the build to the next level.

Handling the suspension duty is a duo of Cane Creek products including the DB Coil IL rear shock and a Helm Air fork up front.

Going along with the black and gold theme, a pair of Knight Composites carbon rims with a 30mm internal width are laced to gold Project 321 hubs. A lower priced set of Stan’s aluminum wheels is also available as an option.

What’s a black and gold bike without a gold cassette, right? Along with that gold cassette is a SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain (minus the gold chain, this one is black). Blacked out SRAM Guide brakes. However, if you want to drop the price a bit, the bike is also available with X01 Eagle, or even GX Eagle.

As shown above, the RFX Limited with the Knight Composite wheels and XX1 Eagle drivetrain will run you $8,076. But if you get rid of the high end wheels and drop down to the GX Eagle group, you can still get the complete bike with Cane Creek suspension for under five grand – $4,875.

Available now through your local Turner dealer, or straight to your door with delivery through Velofix Direct for an additional $90.

I would love to know why brands keep speccing the CCDB inline instead of the full size CCDB coil or CCDBa. The drop in reliability doesn’t seem worth the $80 OE price difference or the 200-ish grams in weight.

Thats not the same shock as the Inline. Thats the Coil IL shock. Much nicer than the old Inline from a few years ago. Got one on my Norco and its been solid for a year

All models of Inline use that tiny rubber diaphragm in place of the IFP and they all suffer from the same issue of it splitting. You either get a good one or a bad one but the failure rate is too high compared the full size units, or DVO’s Jade that also uses a diaphragm, but a much beefier one housed in a separate resevoir.

Total fail.

Turner could benefit from more sales if they took the direct to consumer approach embraced by more bicycle manufacturers. Since there’s very few dealers carrying Turner, it would be a quick and seamless transition to go direct.

That hub sure looks orange to me. And where are the gold nipples? Gold headset spacers? Gold Turner logo? They barely did the gold thing at all. I don’t get it. It’s pretty unimpressive really. Sorry to be yet another internet critic, but I think they could a lot better than this.

One of the ugliest bikes on the market!

What a joke, a 160mm travel enduro bike without a reservoir rear shock! I could ride that thing so hard the rear shock would melt without the extra oil volume. At least it isn’t a Fox shock.
