Hey, remember back in June when I reviewed that really useful 6-bit Tool by Wolf Tooth? They’ve released another cool tool as a collaboration with the folks at Magura. The new version has some Magura-specific tools included in it. Check out the new Wolf Tooth Magura Multi-Tool.

The concept of a multi-tool is to be as many things as it can, in a smallish package. When you need to carry as many tools as you can in one small package, compromises tend to occur. But, it seems that with over 25 functions, Wolf Tooth thinks their 8-bit system manages this demanding balancing act perfectly.
The tool is based on Wolf Tooth’s 8-bit pack pliers. The bits for the tool are housed in the handle and secured using high-powered magnets, giving the tool a whopping 17 functions for trailside repairs or maintenance. It also uses a ball head that allows the tool to fit into tight, hard-to-reach places.
The length of the tool looks like it would be comfortable and allow for proper leverage to remove your thru-axles or maybe even to release pedals. There are three additional components that can be magnetically attached to the tool, which include chain tools with a utility knife, tire levers, rim dent removers, or a disc brake multi-tool with a tire lever.
Wolf Tooth collaborated with brake specialist Magura for the disc brake multi-tool update. The brake pad and rotor gauges on this tool, are specific to Magura, and allow you to measure minimum thicknesses. Along with those gauges, the tool has a rotor truing tool and a slotted 8mm pin wrench for tightening the compression sleeve nut on the brake master.
The tool is able to magnetically sandwich in between the Wolf Tooth trail tool line up making a complete package for trailside maintenance. Thanks to its compact and flat design, this tool can easily be stashed in a jersey pocket, hip bag, or tool roll.
