The MET Veleno is a sub-300g XC helmet with a removable visor
Long after catching wind of the Italian company’s Stateside debut, MET helmets have finally landed at distributor Tom Hall Enterprises and are available for sale with full US safety certifications. Hit the jump to see a sampling of their helmets, from super light to super commuter…
The MET Stradivarius features active cooling via vortex generators...
...and includes Gel02 pads that felt awfully nice on my nearly-bald head.
The always dapper Jim Bremner with MET's 20 Mile commuter lid...
...which doesn't only reflect light- it shines light!
The one-size MET Terra weighs in at 250g and is an attractive trail option.

No joke, I want the Parachute so badly. I’ve seen some really terrible damage done to people’s faces and jaws while riding on the road. Be nice to have a bit of protection for the most expensive part of your body.

People already get laughed at enough on this side of the Atlantic for wearing Parachutes, you don’t need them over there in the US.
I have a Kaos UL. Normally I’m a Giro man but won this and actually really like it, which surprised me. The gel pads are great.
