That mystery adventure bike from MADE finally has a name. The new Moots Scramble mixes gravel and mountain disciplines, creating a proper adventure bike. The bike is a nod to several Moots offerings, gets the same high-quality titanium frame the brand is known for, and adds a 100mm fork.

However, if you want one, you only have until the end of January 2026 to place your order.

A Mix of Moots

Moots’ new adventure bike, the Scrambler, gets its DNA from several previous offerings from the brand. Built around drop bars, the Scrambler indeed finds its roots in the Routt ESC and Baxter. While these bikes are fully rigid, Moots decided to equip the Scrambler with a 100mm RockShox SID SL fork.

The new Scrambler also draws its heritage from Moots bikes, such as the Routt 45. Both bikes share similar levels of compliance and comfort thanks to Moots’ wishbone seatstay shape. While the back end is a nod to the Routt 45, the double-butted titanium front triangle comes from the MXC mountain bike.

Moots added features to the Scrambler to make it ready for big adventures. The Scrambler has room to fit three water bottles in the front triangle. More mounts are located on the bottom of the downtube for more water bottles or other storage.

The top tube features a bento-box mount, as well as another mount on the underside of the top tube for frame bags. On the rear triangle, rack eyelets enable the use of various rear racks, expanding options for panniers and other storage solutions.

“The Scrambler has allowed me to venture further than previously possible with a gravel bike,” ultra-distance athlete Kyle Richardson said. “I’ve relied on my Scrambler, often loaded with days’ worth of supplies, for riding to and running some of America’s most iconic peaks.”

Is it a gravel bike or a mountain bike? The answer: Yes.

Scrambler Details

Moots offers the Scrambler in both a frame-only option and a complete bike. Those seeking a fully built, ready-to-ride adventure machine will find Shimano mechanical GRX brake and shift levers at the cockpit. These are paired with a GRX derailleur, an XT 10-51 cassette with a 36-tooth chainring, and 170mm XT cranks.

For wheels, Moots chose to equip the Scrambler with Chris King MTN30 AL wheels (29er, boost). These wheels are wrapped in WTB Marco 2.4-inch tires.

All of this is paired with the already mentioned 100mm RockShox SID SL fork. Despite the XC mountain bike fork, the Scrambler has aggressive gravel geo.

The Scrambler is finished with a Moots titanium stem and seatpost. However, the Scrambler frame does accommodate dropper posts with stealth cable routing, and the left GRX lever can be used to actuate the dropper.

Moots will also offer three titanium frame finishes, each a bit more expensive than the next.

  • Standard brushed finish: $9,499 / £8,350 / €8,195
  • Premium anodize finish:$10,499 / £9,425 / €9,060
  • Topo anodize finish:$10,999 / £9,850 / €9,490

Moots offers the Scrambler in four sizes — S-XL. Again, Scrambler frames and complete bikes are only available through the end of January 2026.
