Seems the press line is flooded with openings this weekend for U.S. and Canadian mountain bike parks and downhill lifts.  Here ya goes:
WHISTLER: Opens Saturday, June 13. Boneyard section opening soon, those trails are under construction. LINK
NORTHSTAR @ TAHOE: Opens Friday, June 12 with more than 100 miles and extensive lift served trails. LINK
WINTER PARK: Opens Saturday, June 13 with lift access to Trestle Bike Park (ex. see photo), which has 30 miles of DH and FR trails with 125 features. LINK
SNOW SUMMIT: Open since late May, but lift is for XC bikes only (¿que huh?). LINK
KIRKWOOD: Opens July 4 for anyone, with camps starting June 4. LINK
MAMMOTH: Opens June 20 with Gondola and Shuttle runs daily. LINK
Details, costs and information on are the links for each location.  Interestingly, the Examiner has a solid article about where the cheapest day passes are: Northstar, Mammoth and Kirkwood, especially with afternoon-only passes or packages.  Some of these are even free if you can get up the mountain under your own power…
