NAHBS 2010 – Also from Tektonics Design Group is the Caelifera brand of trials bikes. Caelifera makes the bikes used in Cirque du Soleil performances, and to be honest, this is the first time I’ve seen a trials bike up close in ten years…my have things changed.
Used to be, trials bikes had to have gears and a seat. No more. This is an absolute purpose built machine that looks like it could drop off a three story building and land upright and intact. Check all the little frame details and features after the break…
Gearing is incredibly high…almost if not 1-to-1.
Despite looking incredibly stout, the frames only weigh in at about 3.9lbs to 4.4lbs.
