e*Thirteen has taken their TRS Race wheels and made the rims both lighter and wider, with new hubs and carbon fiber rims, giving them a bigger role on the mountain.
The new TRSr SL Carbon Wheels come in 150g lighter than the brand’s enduro wheels, but twice as strong. Thanks to a new layup and redesigned rim profile, the interior width grows to 28mm, and impact strength is improved, testing twice as well even though they’re 30g lighter per rim.
It’s a tubeless ready, hookless profile that’s designed with 2.4″ tires in mind.
Hubs are machined 7075 aluminum with a much smaller shell than the original TRSr hubs, coming in about 10-20g lighter each. They have 6º engagement, a secondary seal system to keep moisture out, and come with a one-year no-questions-asked guarantee.
Complete wheels will come in standard and boost versions, 27.5 and 29er, available now for $1,499 / €1,699. Claimed weights:
- 27.5” = 1,650 grams (F: 745 grams, R: 904 grams)
- 27.5” boost = 1,664 grams (F: 752 grams, R: 912 grams)
- 29” = 1,733 grams (F: 795 grams, R: 938 grams)
- 29” boost = 1,748 grams (F: 802 grams, R: 946 grams)
