Seems everyone wants to drop their new flavors and formulas just as spring is starting to hit (some of us, anyway). The latest GU Raspberry Lemonade flavor not only sounds delicious, it’s supporting a good cause too.

Proceeds from this flavor’s sales go to Rising Hearts to support its Running on Native Lands initiative. That program aims to make land acknowledgements at road and trail running events a more common practice.

Why? Because many of the lands we all recreate and race on were originally tribal lands where Native Americans lived before, you know, colonization. Acknowledging this helps us all connect with the land and those from who it was stolen … and helps us all learn new and more ways to be better stewards of the land so it’s there for future generations to walk, run, and race on.
