Camelbak and Dahon (BioLogic) have both come out with new vacuum insulated, spill-proof stainless steel sippers.
The Camelbak Better Bottle uses the same design as its BPA-free plastic counterparts and is designed for cold beverages. It has no BPA or epoxy liner or coating, and the bite valve and straw pop off for easy cleaning. It holds 16oz (0.5 liters), so no “litera cola” for you. MSRP is $30, and it’s also available in non-insulated 0.75L ($24) sizes with pretty designs printed on them and 0.4L sizes ($20) for kids.
The BioLogic uses a more traditional top that you have to lift and sip with a convenient push-button seal to keep it from spilling, and it’s made for both hot and cold beverages. It’s about the same size as the Camelbak one, MSRP is TBD.
More pics of the insides and lids after the break…
The Camelbak bottle’s spout/bite valve flips shut to seal the liquids inside.
Push the button on the lid of the BioLogic bottle and it opens (left) and closes (right) a seal on the bottom, preventing spills.
