Looking back on the 35 years since the Oakley Eyeshade, a lot has changed. Both in the world of sunglasses and in the world in general. To celebrate three and a half decades, Oakley has just unveiled the Origins Collection highlighted by the Sutro Origin. Stating that “the collection connects colors from the past with progressive styles from the present to set the way for the future,” is Oakley’s way of saying these are some retro-inspired shade with modern performance and limited edition style.

With a striking similarity to those original Eyeshades, but with modern performance that you’ve come to expect from Oakley, the Sutro Origins will be available in three colors – Celeste, Redline, and White with Retina Burn Stems.

Fitted with replaceable Prizm Black lenses, the O Matter frames include their Unobtanium nosepads to keep them on your face. Each limited edition Sutro Origin will sell for $166.00 and includes a Sport Soft Vault Case.

The Origins Collection also includes the Jawbreaker…

And the Frogskins in the same three colorways. However, the White Jawbreaker Origins includes a Prizm Ruby instead of Prizm Black lens and the Frogskins Origins come with either Black, Ruby, or Jade Prizm lenses. The Jawbreaker Origins Collection will sell for $216 with a Sport Soft Vault Case, and the Frogskins Origins Collection goes for $136 with a pink Microbag.

Love the Blades, still have a set along with a pair of Factory Pilots. Hate the behind the ear wrap-around. Don’t bring those back please
