There’s a moment when endurance meets elegance — when a long day in the saddle isn’t about survival, but about flow. Officine Mattio’s new Granfondo is built for that exact moment. Reimagined from one of the brand’s most beloved models, the new version looks to bring the essence of Italian craftsmanship into the modern endurance era.

Handcrafted in Cuneo, Italy, the Granfondo blends comfort, performance, and timeless design. Each frame is hand-painted, and every detail is tuned for riders who see endurance as an art form, not a punishment.

Choose Your Adventure
Not every endurance rider has the same goal — some chase granfondo podiums, others chase horizons. Officine Mattio designed the new Granfondo around that idea, offering two geometry options.
Option 1: Granfondo, Comfort-focused version, with a taller front end and balanced reach for long-distance or touring-oriented riders.

Option 2: Granfondo, racing-inspired version, with sharper angles and a lower stack. The frame has nearly all the same features, but the headtube is shorter to get that slammed, aero fit.

This dual-geometry approach lets riders choose a setup that matches their goals, rather than forcing a single definition of performance. Officine Mattio makes it clear — a high-performing endurance bike doesn’t need to ride like a crit weapon.

Modern Endurance, Italian Soul
“The Granfondo was one of our most successful bikes five years ago,” says Giovanni Monge Roffarello, founder and CEO of Officine Mattio. “We decided to bring it back — completely reinterpreted, with fully integrated cable routing, improved aerodynamics, and room for modern wide tires.”

He’s not kidding. The new tire clearance hits 36mm in the rear and 40mm up front, making the Granfondo a clear nod to the modern endurance trend. Under the paint lies a next-generation carbon chassis built with Toray T1000 high-modulus fibers and advanced resins. The result is a frame that balances torsional stiffness with subtle compliance — something that matters when “all-day comfort” still means “race-day power.”

At just 875 grams in size medium, the Granfondo should be light enough to feel racy but stiff enough to stay planted through the adventure.
“I still see the soul of the original Granfondo in this version,” adds Roffarello. “It’s her natural heir — now in version 4.0 — and I believe it’s one of the most beautiful bikes we’ve ever created.”
