Making it their third 650b hard tail, Olympia bikes has introduced the Bull – a 7005 series aluminum hard tail that mimics the lines of their shapelycarbon CSL-X Two quite well. The actual aluminum is what Olympia refers to as their exclusive Magma SW light alloy that was created by Olympia – a heat treated alloy with higher levels of magnesium and claimed micro-percentages of Silver and other elements such as Beryllium. These secret additions are supposed to improve the frame’s strength and reduce oxidation.
The Bull is available in a number of configurations, and should offer a quality bike at an affordable price for those looking for an aluminum 650b hard tail.
Olympia calls the frame triple thickness, which we can only assume is the same as triple butted and the frame’s welds are smoothed for a clean look. Along with a tapered head tube, and post mount rear disc tabs, the Bull is still fairly well equipped for a bike they are calling entry level. Although, that definitely depends on the build kit chosen as kits range from low level Alivio, to top notch XT/XTR.
Like all Olympias, the Bull should be available through Stage Race Distribution, should you want to pick one up in the US. Sizing is offered in S, M, L, and XL and will be offered in 3 base colors.
