Pinarello’s been rolling out the new models fast and furious over the past week, first with the new Dogma F10 Disk, giving them a top-level disc brake race bike, followed by the new Dogma K10 for fast gran fondo riding. Now, there’s the 2018 Pinarello Dogma F10X Light, which shares the same aerodynamics and stiffness as the F10, but comes in lighter. It borrows the Torayca T1100G UD fibers of the F8X Light and puts them in new, dedicated molds with a slower, more controlled layup process.
Result is a claimed 760g weight for a raw, size 53 frame. That’s a 60g savings over the F10X, and the fork is 340g. Both numbers are +/-8g. Other frame features and details carry over…
It uses their asymmetric design with flat back tube shapes to optimize stiffness and aerodynamics, respectively. Just above the front water bottle mount is the internal Di2 junction box holder with button access.
Like the other models, there are two bottle mount positions on the seat tube to let you choose between better aerodynamics or easier reach.
Available in the Team Sky livery (top of post) or matte black with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, or with red/white mini pinstripes on black with SRAM Red eTap. Pricing TBA.
