Pinarello’s new MyWay 3D visualization project opens up the chance to custom paint your next Dogma F road bike. Built on top of a gaming engine, the online customization tool lets users create a one-of-a-kind paintjob from thousands of possibilities, and preview it from all angles in real-time as you design your perfect bespoke look.

The online, in-browser customization process is super simple (although we’ve noticed it doesn’t work in every browser). Just pick 1 of three customizable paint schemes, then mix & match from dozens of paint colors, finishes & graphics details until you are satisfied with your creation. Save your design parameters, and then Pinarello lets you pick disc or rim brakes for your custom-painted Dogma F road bike.
If you are ready to buy, you’ll have to create an account to share the design with your local Pinarello dealer to take it to the next step. Only a limited number of MyWay custom painted bikes will be available each year, but Pinarello hasn’t shared volume numbers yet.
But Pinarello does claim their visualization tool is the “most realistic experience currently available in the cycling industry”, but also warns that it’s still just an on-screen rendering. Once you order a custom MyWay frame there’ll be no arguing over what it looks like in real-life.
Custom-painted in Treviso, Italy
Each MyWay custom bike will be painted by hand in Pinarello’s Villorba, Italy HQ workshop by their veteran frame painters.
After the multi-step masking & painting process, the frameset will get their new lightweight metallic “Decaplus” transfer decals on top, which then get baked onto the painted frame for a smooth final finish.
Once the custom finish is complete and checked, Pinarello’s mechanics will build it up into your own one-of-a-kind dream bike.
Pinarello MyWay – Options & availability
No word on how much extra this limited edition MyWay finish is going to cost you.
But the standard Pinarello Dogma F frameset just introduced last summer was already going to set you back at least 5770€ on its own. Or from over 13,000€ complete with a SRAM Red AXS or Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 build kit. Let’s just assume that it’s going to add more on top of that.
Pinarello has confirmed that MyWay paint customization will be available on each of their standard build kits, and on their fully custom spec’d bikes.
