Polar V800, V650 cycling computers now read 3rd party GPS routes

Polar’s slowly but surely opening up their ecosystem. First it was Strava, then GoPro, and now they’ll bring in .GPX and .TCX files from 3rd party services and upload the routes to the V800 sports watch and V650 cycling computer. From there, either device can provide route guidance to keep you on your way.

You’ll need to import the files into Polar Flow, then sync the device to move it onto the computer or watch. File size is capped at 25mb, which should be plenty. Instructions are here, and the video below shows just how easy it is…

Still not Ant+ compatible, and therefore still worthless for a ton of people.

exactly. its a pity, but polar is more and more out of the game without ant+
if polar decide to change that: i’ll change instantly.
