This product is clearly designed for kids and reminds me a lot of the “R-r-r-Raw Power.” My sister and I both had these. They were great fun — made your bike sound like a motorcycle. Although the R-r-r-Raw Power wasn’t continually driven by the bike’s wheel, it mounted on one side of the handlebar, and you had to rotate it to make the noise, as if you were throttling up your engine! I still have one, and can’t wait to mount it on my boys’ bikes when they’re old enough!

I say anything that makes bicycling fun for kids is a perfectly fine product. You can still find them on E-Bay!
