Ben Ginster Webster, who’s jumped ship from Titus since we met him at Sea Otter, is now working with Grammo and just sent over this pic of their all-new carbon fiber cyclocross brake that’s designed aroun disc brakes only! Here’s what he has to say:

“We have developed a new full carbon cross frame that is disc specific…This is the preproduction sample.

The bikes will be available in August, just in time for the season. It has full internal cable routing, tapered head tube, press fit 30 bb shell. It will be stock to run 140mm rotors with capability to run 160mm rotors as well. We decided to make it a 135 rear drop out spacing to make disc hubs options easy to get a hold of. Paint scheme is still be finalized but production will be starting this month.”

More info as we get it!

UPDATE: As shown, the bike is just under 18lbs. MSRP isn’t set in stone, but it’s targeted to be around $1,299 for frame and fork. The fork is prototype and will get dialed to try to bring the weight down a bit before they hit full production. They’re also working on their own brand carbon tubular and alloy clincher wheels to go with the bike.

Nice to see the disc frames coming so soon. But I think the old Titus dude was Ben Webster.

That is awesome!! When can I get one? Any links to a website?

I hope to see more carbon cross bikes with disc brakes coming at the end of summer for those of us looking for a nice winter ride or cross bike.
