For all you night owls and thrill seekers, Chainbusters’ 12 Hours of Zombie Apocalypse is coming to Georgia International Horse Park on June 22. Spend 12 hours on an 8 mile, pitch-black trail system that scales through two creek crossings, a couple of screaming-fast downhills, and a few climbs to keep you out of the saddle. Add to the race course a lively pit area including zombie body parts and hordes of zombies looking for brains to dine on and you’ve got one spooky race.

Charging and Demo Lights
Nite Rider will have their custom charging system for all racers light systems free of charge. Limit to charge 300 lights at once, first come first serve. Nite Rider will also have their 2013 line available to rent. Rentals are $40 per system. Racers can pre-reserve a system by emailing them. The rentals will be assigned the most powerful light available on a first come first served basis.
Race Course
This is a super fun course and will offer you many challenges along the way. Including two creek crossings and a few technical sections that will challenge the power of your night lights! Rest assured, you will be awarded with several fast screaming down hills that will feel as if you were riding a roller coaster at night! Race Course Distance is 8 miles and will be run Clockwise. Elevation gain is approx 734 feet per lap. *This will be almost identical to the 2012 Green Gobbler race course but in opposite direction.To view the course map click here.
Zombie Costume Contest!
We will judge all racers and spectators that arrive at the race dressed in “Zombie Fashion” at 8 pm on race night. The top four best dressed zombies will win a custom pair of Super Sport athletic wear cycling shorts, pair of Chain buster cycling socks/and a Chain buster/Terrapin pint glass. The 3 Judges will be James Stankowitz, Kenny Griffin, and Scott Barker. All Zombies must be present at the registration area at 7:45 pm. We will award the prizes at 8 pm sharp.
