A few weeks ago, Rad Power Bikes launched three all-purpose cargo eBikes. Rad says that the RadRunner, RadRunner Plus, and RadRunner Max are “stronger, safer, and smarter than ever”. These three new eBikes are representative of the next generation for the versatile RadRunner line-up. Along with the launch of the new eBikes, Rad is also introducing the RadRunner Range Extender, to carry your cargo further.
New Rad Power RadRunner cargo ebikes

Rad Power says they prioritize accessibility and safety with the new RadRunners. Each new ebike model is engineered to meet a range of lifestyles and transportation needs:
The simple, barebones RadRunner now includes modern upgrades to help the rider have an all-around better experience.
The RadRunner Plus – once just a limited edition back in 2020 – is now part of the permanent lineup. It comes now in a new stealthy matte black color, more power, and adds a rear seat for your riding buddy.
Lastly, for the top o’ the heap, that Plus has been reimagined, and now the top RadRunner carries the new Max nomenclature, bringing the most advanced tech, most solid frame, and most premium components.

OK, so what all is new?
Safer battery tech. More load carrying capability. Better tires, better weather protection, and better component specs. Plus, smarter app integration will make your next cargo ebike more theft-resistant and easier to keep running for years to come….

- Rad’s Safe Shield Batteries: “These industry-leading batteries are more durable and powerful, and feature thermal-resistant technology for an extra layer of safety. Built with high-grade lithium-ion cells and certified to UL 2271, the Safe Shield batteries exceed industry standards by incorporating a unique heat-absorbing resin that protects against corrosion and overheating.“

- Increased Payload: “Haul heavier loads with ease. Whether it’s groceries, gear, or a passenger, the RadRunners are built to handle it all, making them the perfect cargo ebikes for everyday tasks like school drop-offs, shopping runs, or weekend adventures.“

- All-Terrain Tires: “Standard-sized [20″ x 3.3″] tires with a Rad-designed tread tackle any surface, whether it’s pavement, gravel, or dirt trails.“

- IPX6 Weather Protection: “IPX6 means the ebike can withstand high-pressure water, and you can ride confidently, rain or shine, with an ebike built and tested to handle the elements. But, don’t forget to check your manual for post-wet weather riding maintenance to keep your ebike riding optimally.“

- Hydraulic Disc Brakes: “Enjoy smoother, faster stops for a safer and more responsive ride” with 180mm rotors front & rear.

- Passcode Protection: “Keep your ebike secure with features that deter theft and give you peace of mind“, plus Apple’s ubiquitous FindMy device tracking integration.
- Service Reminders: “Stay on top of tune-ups with personalized service reminders,” because we all sometimes forget to lube our chains or remember when it’s time to replace a worn cassette.
