Calling all dreamers, adventurers, and cycling romantics. Maybe you spend all day staring out from your desk daydreaming about that big ride that you’ve never gotten to do. Or perhaps you already find yourself on regular adventures but you’re looking for something new. Whatever your motivation, if you think you have what it takes, Blackburn is yet again looking for some Rangers.

Back again for 2017, the Ranger program includes being a Blackburn Design ambassador for the year, but it’s much more than that. Open to anyone who feels that they can tell a great story about a bucket list adventure, the Ranger program will equip you with Blackburn and Big Agnes gear, a Niner bike with SRAM and WTB parts, Bell helmets, Giro Shoes, Kitsbow clothing, and a travel stipend to get you there and back. But you have to be willing to take on one of four new epic routes in Europe…

Don’t get us wrong, the previous Pacific Coast Highway and Great Divide are incredible routes, but for 2017 the Rangers are going international. Now with four routes to choose from, Rangers will be taking off to complete either the El Camino De Santiago, Highland, Alpine Bike, or Adventure Transgermany routes for new scenery and new challenges.

If this is right up your alley, Blackburn is accepting applications now until 9 p.m. PST on February 28, 2017. You can start the process by filling out the form over at the Blackburn Design site, but then you’ll have to get creative with a Youtube video and make sure to finish the process with an Instagram post with the proper hashtags. This may be about getting out there and away from many forms of technology, but you still have to be able to tell your story.

Nice! Is this open to non-US citizens too?

Sadly, I completely missed this until I saw the final call, on March 1. Oh well, considering I’m a bag maker as well, they probably wouldn’t take me anyway. I’d love to find out what/where those rides are.
