The Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling Team has it covered as far as equipment. The team has the entire Ribble catalog, spanning aero bikes, endurance, and time trial machines. The equipment team at Ribble Weldtite has narrowed down the selection to the best that Ribble has to offer and leaning into its newest aero offering, the Ribble Ultra SL R.

“As a British team, we are really excited by the return to a full domestic program. The Tour Series is a major objective for the team, as defending champions. The British National Championships remain a key goal, especially following the team’s success there in 2021. September sees the team return to the Tour of Britain which will be the pinnacle event of our season. Throughout the year we will continue to compliment the domestic program with key races across Europe” — Tom Timothy Ribble Weldtite manager.

Before flying out to Calpe for pre-season training, the team was presented with their new race machines at Ribble’s flagship showroom in Clitheroe. RWPC will be racing on Ribble’s Ultra SL R, Endurance SL R, and Ultra TT models throughout the 2022 season, starting with the UCI Europe Tour at Dorpenomloop Rucphen (UCI 1.2) in the Netherlands on the 13th of March.

Andy Smallwood, Ribble Cycles CEO, says: “The team had me on the edge of my seat in 2021 with some amazing performances in the UK and abroad – and 2022 is set to be an even more exciting year. The combination of Ribble’s R&D and a stronger than ever rider lineup sees our Ultra SL R being raced by the leading British-based team on the world stage. Our involvement with RWPC allows us to gain essential product feedback and insights into real-world racing conditions and will inform our R&D as we continue to develop and innovate in the creation of world-class racing machines. The distinctive aerodynamically optimized lines and new colorway will help the team really stand out from the pro peloton”.

Someone spent an awfully long time making these renders, but then just gave up before making the bars hollow or putting bar tape on?

Those bars come with some kind of grippy paint on the drops and are not meant to be taped. It’s 0.00001% more aero.

The bars are meant to be run tapeless.

“Insanely aero…”

I can’t stop laughing at that nonsensical phrase.

Those are not renderings but photos. It becomes harder to tell them apart, but some dust, random grease traces, the natural sag of the chain and a incorrectly installed chain quicklink suggest that we are dealing with photos here 😉

One of the team’s riders is responsible for the paint work. He did a vid on youtube explaining the paint job and the tape-less handlebar setup.

Hi, does anyone knows how large the seatpost is? I am 174cm tall, so according to Ribble my size would be a medium, but I want an small size. So I want to be sure that the small one fits me.

Ribble stores do the sizing for you if you can get to one. I am the same height and they easily achieved my set-up on a small frame.
