ride-of-silenceOriginating in 2003, the Ride of Silence has become a world-wide effort to honor cyclists that have been injured or killed while riding their bikes and to raise awareness of bicycle safety and sharing the road. Once a year on the same day and time across the world we ride as one.

The rides around the country and world start at 7pm on May 20th, and cruise around at a max speed of 12mph (20kph). According to their website, all but five states have rides scheduled.

CycleSafe.org is honored to organize the second annual ride in the Winston Salem and Forsyth County area. Hit ‘more’ for ride info, or check out rideofsilence.org for more info on the organization.
