In 2012 Rolf Prima launched their Ralos XC Mountail wheels (in both 26″ and 29″ versions).  To expand upon that for 2013 they present us with a full carbon clincher that is tubeless ready, and a 650b alloy option as well.

The range topping Ralos 9 CXC is a 29″ XC race day wheel that is billed as being durable enough for every day riding.  This disc specific rim is an all-carbon clincher that comes in at 27mm wide.  Options for mounting include a 9mm QR or 15mm thru axel for the front, and a 135mm QR or 142mm x 12mm thru axel in the rear.  The hub is the same XST+ found throughout the Ralos line, but gets a titanium free hub rather than steel.  It’s paired to the wheel with 24f / 24r spokes in the easily recognizable paired spoke pattern.  Weight comes in at a pretty light 1505g for the set.  A pair of the Ralos 9 CXC’s on your bike will depleted your bank account of $1799.

To complete the set in sizing, Rolf Prima has added the newly popular 650b rim to the collection.  Other than rim size, specs are the same as the 29″ and 26″ Ralos.  But as a refresher you get the XST+ hub (with a machined steel freehub), alloy Stans NoTubes tubes compatible 22mm wide rim, and round butted 24f/ 24r spokes.  Weight for the 650b set tips the scales at 1590g, and runs $899.
