If you’ve been watching this year’s Tour de France, it’s likely you’ve caught a glimpse of Rudy Project’s latest on an array of teams in the Peloton. The Tralyx is a new shield-style sunglass from the Italian eyewear and helmet company that’ll be available in the coming months. Peer past the break for more images and info…
“This year, we have a truly diverse field of athletes battling it out in the Peloton, all wearing Rudy’s absolutely latest performance sunglasses…With feedback from these riders, we’ve crafted an absolutely stunning new sunglass design, engineered to be lightweight, well ventilated to prevent fogging, and beyond all measure, comfortable in the heat of battle,” said Paul Craig, President of Rudy Project North America.
The lightweight and ventilation characteristics of the design appear to come from a series of aggressive cut-outs along the frame of the design. Look for it on riders from Cofidis, EuropCar, Astana, Bora-Argon 18, IAM, and the entire LottoNL-Jumbo team.
This new model will be available in September in North America through authorized dealers or though their online store.
