Schwalbe’s Racing Ralph gets a new tread pattern, shown at right. On the left is the new Rapid Rob, which gets the old Racing Ralph tread pattern but a cheaper casing to come in at just $30.

The Racing Ralph’s tread blocks are now cut on a triangle with a horizontal relief. It also has a new GateStar compound for 4X racing that has a super soft side knob compound with a firm center section. Weights are 425g for 26×2.25 and 535g for 29×2.25.

They have some puncture protection under the tread that runs about halfway thru the outer knobs. All are tubeless ready. Prices are about $90.

The Rocket Ron, center, stays the same. The Hans Dampf and Ice Spiker Pro now come in a 29er and the Nobby Nic is also available with the GateStar compound.

Road tires dint change much, just some new colors…

The Ultremo ZX now comes in full color casings with black stripes in addition to the originals in black with color stripes.

Not shown, their Cyclocross tires are now UCI approved at 33mm wide.

How about asking Schwalbe if they have any plans to bring out a 27 or 28mm Ultremo DD?

My 1st Gen 29er 2.25 RRs are about 580 grams,(actual) so I could see them now being 530. (claimed)
That would make the 26″ closer to 425grams…

Well, based on there website 2012 version:
26×2.25 Gatestar TLR: 550g
26×2.25 Pacestar TLR: 495g
29×2.25 Pacestar TLR: 535g
