Getting stomped under Team ORICA-GreenEDGE at the Tour de France this summer is Scott Sports’ new Premium Road Shoe.

Besides being a color you don’t often see on cycling footwear, new features for 2013 include modifications to improve fit and comfort. Namely, a new upper with a series of “ribs” that provide a broad wrap around the foot while still allowing proper mobility of the forefoot (or at least as much mobility as the stiff carbon sole will allow). A BOA lacing system cinches it all tight, and plenty of mesh sections in between help your feet breathe.

The BOA system has been redesigned on these shoes, too, with the loops getting a wider radius for smoother action and better load distribution. Under them, the tongue gets a new molded cushion for additional comfort.

The rear has an anatomic heel counter that’s stronger and taller than before to keep your heel from pulling out.

The mesh blends from white to light green to dark green from front to back.

The front of the HMF carbon sole has a massive air scoop vent. For now, they’re team only. You can get yours this winter, only in this mean green color. Price is $299.

Cool color, but no Speedplay sole, no care.

Love, love, that color combination. May need to buy new shoes, even if they are not on a women’s last.

Agreed, looks like Specialized. If it has a varus sole, than even more so. Louis Garneau mimicked some Specialized shoe designs, such is the way when things seem to make sense/work… or sell. Nonetheless, its a nice looking shoe.

Does look like a Specialized S-Works — much better looking though. If it fits as well as Spesh; I may have to grab a pair.

Like me, I’m pretty sure other Speedplay fans would love to ride in shoes that don’t need a cleat adapter.
