Born in 1997, the Portland Oregon-based cycling apparel brand, Showers Pass is celebrating its 25th year in the cycling industry! To commemorate their 25th year, they’ve updated their popular training jacket, the Spring Classic. The jacket, Showers Pass says, is both a fan favorite and a pro-racing team favorite. The Spring Classic got an updated look and a new limited-release of the brand’s iconic colorway, Goldenrod. And, is available today on their website!
According to Showers Pass, some of the performance-oriented updates include Showers Pass’ new eliteAIR fabric technology in the underarm construction, which they say will provide optimal breathability.
“When competing at a high level in foul weather, regulating the athlete’s body temperature can make or break their performance,” says Kyle Ranson, CEO at Showers Pass. “Be it race day or training day, fully seam-sealed construction is a must for protection from rain and wind; but even in cool weather, the garment has to be designed to maximize the venting of body heat.”
Showers Pass says that The Spring Classic jacket has a very lightweight, 3-layer construction that carries with it a 30k waterproof/20k breathability rating. It features a trim fit, angled full-zip front, dual-core vents, and an upper back “exhaust vent” that Showers Pass says will add to airflow and prevent billowing.
The updated Spring Classic has reflective accents throughout to help with visibility while out on the road as well as a back pocket that can hold your essentials while riding and stows the jacket when not in use.
