Skar Bikes’ founder, Adam Sklar, designs and fabricates bikes that are beautifully crafted, simple, purpose-built steeds that are a pleasure to ride. And, today, one of Sklar’s most popular frames, the PBJ, is now back in stock and features two new colorways: Manzanita and Silver.

The PBJ, which stands for “Performance Basket Jammer,” is designed as a versatile all-terrain bike that can tackle dirt road touring, trail riding, gravel adventures, and even daily commuting.
“The PBJ is all about fun,” says Adam Sklar, founder of Sklar Bikes. “Since we launched it last summer, it has been amazing to see all the places these bikes have taken customers, and we are excited to have them back in stock in two fun colors. “

A Lil’ Bit About the PBJ

The bike represents Sklar’s modern take on the classic rigid mountain bike concept.

The design draws from founder Adam Sklar’s custom framebuilding background and the things he’s learned from hands-on trail riding and from his engineering experience. And each tubing profile and measurement has been specifically chosen to optimize the bike’s performance and rider experience.

Practicality is Key
The real focus of the PBJ is on practical riding qualities that matter for real-world use. This bike is built to be nimble on technical terrain, sure. But the PBJ’s geo can also be confidence-inspiring for newer riders.

The PBJ is versatile enough to handle all types of riding scenarios. Plus, the PBJ’s design prioritizes serviceability, making maintenance and repairs more straightforward for both bike shops and home mechanics.
