While playing around with ShePedals‘ Find-A-Ride web app, I ran across the Southeast Women’s Cycling Race Series (SEWCycling) website. This group has a clear mission to support women’s cycling at all levels–by reducing barriers to entry for beginners to offering Cat 1/2/3 the same prize “purses” as the Cat 1/2 men.

This race series pulls together existing races that meet SEWCycling’s criteria, and with almost 100 racers in the series of 6 races (in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee) they’re well on their way to making this a successful series. Check out their website for more information and to learn how you can have your race included in this series.

PS-there’s 3 more races left ladies, so go check one out for yourself!
