Celebrating Remco Evenepoel’s “season for the ages” 2022 year, where he took 16 wins, capped by taking the UCI Road Racing World Championship in Wollongong, Australia, in September.
The accomplishments make him only the fourth rider to take the WC title in the same year as a Monument and Grand Tour win. So, Specialized has created a limited run of the “Remco’s Reign” S-Works Tarmac SL7 frameset presented to him after the WC win. Only 200 are being made, each individually numbered.
The frame gets a pearl base with luminescent sheen of mixed colors over top. A World Champion badge ont eh top tube mimics a rising sun and globe, a subtle nod to Remco’s ascension in the ranks.
The inside of the fork leg hides a list of the 10 Elite Men’s World Road Championship victories taken aboard Specialized bikes over the past two decades.
Framesets, which include the seatpost, headset, stem, and thru axles, are $6,000 (€5,700 / £5,000 / AUD $9,000), available while they last.
At just 22 years old, maybe this isn’t the last special edition bike we’ll be seeing in his honor.
