Hot on the heels of the release of their super affordable titanium All Road bike, State Bicycles has released a new, equally affordable v2 Carbon Monster fork. The new fork is equipped with a flip-chip, adding to its versatility, and making it a great addition to your current gravel or bikepacking steed.

It’s made just like the original version, with the “highest-grade carbon fiber, engineered to take on the toughest terrains while keeping your ride light and agile”.

The biggest difference between the two forks is the addition of the flip chip to the v2. The flip chip will change the rake of the fork from 49mm to 55.5mm. Flipping the chip will change the geometry of your bike by allowing the rider to adjust for particular terrain.

For instance, the 49mm offset is ideal for making stability and control a priority while riding technical trails. It allows for the bike to be confidently ridden on rough gravel, tight, and twisty singletrack, or techy descents.

Flipping the chip to the 55.5mm position gives the rider a more stable, smoother ride. By lengthening the wheelbase of your steed, you increase straight-line stability. This would be ideal for long-distance bikepacking trips or fast gravel roads.

Ready for adventure? Well, the fork also has adventure designed right into it. It carries a ton of mounting points and will accommodate tires up to 700c x 55mm or 650b x 2.3″ (49mm setting) and 700c x 58mm or 650b x 2.4″ (55.5mm setting)

Even more interesting than the new fork is the new frame shown here that seems to UDH compatible now. Is that an upgrade for 2025?
