The problem with many side loading water bottle cages is that they lack the same security and stability as a regular bottle cage, and often times, the bottle is left slightly askew. Sometimes, they’re bad enough to rub the inside of our knee. But if you have a small frame or full suspension design that prevents top-loading your bottle, they’re the only option. The new Tacx Radar aims to solve that with a glass fiber construction and fuller wraparound design.

Unlike the carbon-over-glass fiber Ciro cage they introduced earlier this year, this one sticks with a full glass fiber makeup, but still only weighs 45g. Pretty good for a cage with overlapping parts that allow you to swap the middle section around to create a left- or right-side entry. The cage wraps almost entirely around the bottle, and the ribs make it stiffer than most to keep your bottle from falling out over rough terrain. Retail is $15.99.
