Veloci Cycle founder and builder Jerry Chiu was on hand to show off his latest creations, both of which fit nicely into the whole gravel, bikepacking and adventure theme so prevalent today. The Plan Big, above, is a double butted 4130 chromoly frame that’s built with slightly thicker tube walls than normal to make it a lifelong companion. ED coating inside and paint outside protects it from corrosion, and an insane amount of braze-ons let you attach just about anything you can think of…

Huge tire clearance lets you put very fat 650b/c tires on there, or mid-sized 700c rubber. The BB is low and chainstays are long to improve overall stability with a load, and he’s even included a fixed kickstand mount.

The Disko gets a bit more performance oriented with a 44mm headtube, PFBB30 and faster geometry, but still works for commuting or light touring. Or race ‘cross on it. The frame uses thinner walled heat treated, double butted MKT chromoly tubing. It comes with a straight legged, straight steerer segmented chromoly fork, but you could switch headsets and run a carbon tapered fork, too. They make road bikes and more, also, with some pretty sweet paint schemes worth a look if you’re bored at work.

Don’t those front-facing bottle mounts put any large pack/bag (stuffed into a Blackburn-style cage) really really close to the spokes?

The Veloci website says the wheel size for the Plan Big is 26″or some 700c, a bit different to what is stated above.
