We initially covered the Turner Cyclosys in the run up to and during the Sea Otter Classic. Well, the cross/gravel/every surface machine that has been cooking for the past five years as a personal project of Dave Turner is now ready for pre-order. If you move fast you will have the option to upgrade to custom colors for no extra charge. And if you move REALLY fast, you’ll get a free upgrade from the stock DT-Swiss R32 wheelset to Stan’s NoTubes Carbon Valor wheelset with the Cx1 kit. Get the details next…
Designed to be a racer during cross season, the Cyclosys features a flattened top tube for shouldering comfort and an un-dimpled non-drive chainstay for stiffness in acceleration. It also has thin alloy seat stays and clearance for 43mm tires for better comfort on gravel or fire roads, or for any off-season trouble you can get into. Other features include a 12mm rear thru-axle and a PF30 bottom bracket, as well as a 44mm head tube for greater versatility with tapered or straight steerer compatibility.
In order to jumpstart the pre-order of this new model, the first 50 orders for the CX1 configuration can opt for a free custom color option, typically a $150 up-charge, though it does add an additional 2-4 week delay in delivery. Customers will also receive a coupon for a free Turner jersey through Voler.
But if you’re one of the first 25 to pre-order this model, you can enjoy a free upgrade to a Stan’s NoTubes Valor wheelset, a $1900 value, in addition to the free custom paint upgrade and jersey.
CX1 equipped pre-orders will go for $4,237 MSRP and will be available through July 31st or until supplies last. Available sizes run from XS to 2XL. Estimated delivery is to be late August, 2015.
