Area Boy Scouts and the Queen City Cycling Club have built a new 1.25 mile trail at Montgomery Hall Park in Staunton, VA.  After crushing the competition in the state’s junior cyclocross races, Patrick McKeegan, 16, was hooked on mountain biking.  So, naturally (and thankfully), he got the local boy scouts and cycling club to take on trail building as his Eagle Scout community service project.  The trail meets IMBA guidelines and, from the story in the News Leader, offers something for all skill levels within it’s minute distance.  This is what it’s all about…community service, parks and rec working with its user groups and promoting good, healthy activity.  Great job Pat, make it happen.
