We all watched Lachlan Morton’s self-supported Alt Tour de France this summer, beating the peloton to Paris on his Cannondale SuperSix EVO laden down with bikepacking bags. That gargantuan 5510km, 17-day effort already helped raise £521,000 / $709,331 for World Bicycle Relief, enough to supply 4341 bikes for WBR’s effort to outfit poor students, healthcare workers, or entrepreneurs who need to travel long distances on foot with sustainable transportation. Now, Morton and his sponsor team of Cannondale, EF Education-NIPPO & Rapha have figured they could raffle off the actual SuperSix EVO bike he rode on the Alt Tour to raise even more money for World Bicycle Relief…
Lachlan Morton Cannondale SuperSix EVO bike raffle for World Bicycle Relief
World Bicycle Relief partnered again with Cannondale, Rapha, EF Education-NIPPO Pro Cycling & Lachlan Morton himself to offer a one-of-a-kind Alt Tour prize and raise even more money to get bikes to those in need. Open now through Nov 1, for every £25 you donate to WBR, you get one ticket towards the raffle draw of Lachlan’s Alt Tour Cannondale SuperSix EVO. (Donate £250, and get 10 shots at it.)
All money raised goes straight to World Bicycle Relief’s project of mobilizing youth & communities in need around the world with bikes and cycling support infrastructure. Add that on top of the first round of Alt Tour supported Buffalo bikes that are set to “support children’s access to education across communities in Colombia” with delivery in early 2022 according to WBR, together with “community-supported programming, training for field mechanics, and a supply of spare parts to keep the bikes running for years to come”.
First prize is Lachlan’s Alt Tour used, 54cm carbon Cannondale SuperSix EVO road bike in EF-Nippo team paint with a Dura-Ace Di2 groupset & carbon Vision Metron wheels, valued at around $11,000, plus a signed team jersey. Four more signed EF jerseys are also up for grabs as runner Up prizes.
