wolf tooth components 110bcd drop stop narrow wide chainrings for Shimano asymmetric road cranksets

They’ve already made SRAM & Cannondale direct mount rings, and now Shimano riders can take advantage of Wolf Tooth Components’ Drop Stop narrow wide chainrings for their road, gravel or cyclocross bikes.

The design matches Shimano’s asymmetric 110bcd used on Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105 and Tiagra cranksets. The rings come in even increments from 38 to 44 teeth, and the offset is optimized for a 44mm chainline when mounted in the outside position of the crank spider’s tabs.

Like the rest of their 7075-T6 alloy chainrings, they’re designed and machined in house in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Close pic and pricing below…

The 110bcd asymmetric rings retail for $78.85 and will come in eight colors. They’re available now in black in 38, 40, and 42 tooth counts, the 44t is coming November 13. Colors will follow shortly thereafter, too.

They’ve also got the matching 6mm bolt kits available to make single-ring conversions quick and easy.

I wonder, do you think you can use an Ultegra crank with a SRAM 11sp chain and Force 22 Rear Derailleur?

OK. I am keen to try this.
I have the Shimano Ultegra based CX crankset, with dual rings.

What exactly will happen if I leave the inner ring and derailleur in place – will it shift, but horribly, becasue I could live with that….?

Re: Roadsizes – most definitely…spring time! Only even sizes of course.

Ultimate poser set up… Did you watch cx world cup? Dis you see riders with 1x? No. Why? Because mud and 1x will drop the chain.

@Pipo … No mud in MTB?

@Pipo It’s not muddy everywhere anyways. At CrossVegas, even Sven Nys was riding without a front derailleur. The Telenet Fidea riders have been using CX1 on all courses for the last two seasons I believe. Ultimate poser set up?

@Pipo- the late adoption of new trends or technology by Pro level riders is not new, especially with drop bars. Recently, it’s 1x and disc for CX. Historically, think of helmets, threadless stems, etc. Just because the World Cup riders don’t do it, does not mean it’s not a good idea.

Can anyone explain those two water bottle nuts on the back of the seat tube? Anyone? Seems random.
