Whoa…it’s been seven years since the Wolf Tooth Components GnarWolf chain guides debuted, so it was about time for an update…or was it?

The original introduced a shim-free chainline adjustment, using a simple ovalized locking collet that let you fine-tune the guide’s position over your chain. It accommodates chain lines from 45-51mm.

And the ISCG-05 version used a simple one-bolt height adjustment to fit chainrings from 28 to 34 teeth.

The new GnarWolf V2 does all those things, but simplifies the design of the guide (and adds a couple of holes to give mud and crud more exit points) and adds four color options – yellow, orange, blue, and purple. Or stick with classic black.

They’ve also dropped the price by $15, now just $49.95 for the ISCG-05 model in all black. Additional/color guides are $4.95.

The braze-on mount has the same color choices and is also $49.95. It mounts to any standard front-derailleur braze-on mount and has three bolt holes to fit chainrings from 28 to 34 teeth, too.

Was really excited to see this, only to read that it does not support the 55mm T-Type chainline that my Ripley V4S has. Hope there’s a V2.5 that will add that.
