Wolf Tooth Components has added new 6mm offset in the 8-bolt mounting pattern for 34T and 36T mountain bike chainrings.

Compared to larger 38-tooth-and-up gravel and cyclocross chainrings, these tooth counts let you run ultra-low gearing for your gravel bike or bikepacking rig. And the new 6mm offset (which puts the chainring 6mm closer to the frame’s center line) gives you a better chainline for frames with with non-boost spacing…which is virtually every gravel bike.

It also lets you pair modern 55mm chainline optimized cranksets (like SRAM T-Type) with mechanical or previous generation AXS rear derailleur and achieve a proper 52mm chainline.

They’re available in two tooth profiles:

  • Drop-Stop B (all 9/10/11-speed chains, most 12-speed chains)
  • Drop-Stop ST (Shimano & KMC 12-speed chains)

MSRP is $84.95 to $89.95, available now in black.

“..propper 52mm chainline..”? for non-boost you need 49mm.

If you leave out 5, it’s a 3 bolt too
