Yuba officially released the Boda Boda back in June, a cargo bike that retails at $999. Not bad.
They offer it in two versions – a step over apple green to fit taller riders and step thru white for shorter riders. Among the features is the ability to carry people (or groceries and such) on the rear rack atop an 8mm thick bamboo seat and bamboo foot rest. The Boda Boda, weighing 35 pounds total, is also equipped with a handle for carrying it up and down stairs. It’s made from 6061 aluminum and gets a Sram X-3 8-speed drivetrain for hill crushing.
And since cargo bikes are the latest fashion, Yuba sells accessories too, like a double kickstand, baguette bags and cool baby carriers that’ll strap right on to that rear mount. Also, Yuba’s set to release electric version of the Boda Boda later this summer with the same overall build at a price of $2697. Click ‘more’ for closeups…
