Want a little motivation for the next season? Zwift just let loose a pair of updates that should make your winter training miles a little better.
First is a brand-new Draft Indicator, answering one of the Zwift community’s most-requested features. Secondly, a revamped Ride Report screen that digs deeper into performance and fitness trends. Both should help break up the monotony of winter indoor life and spark training excitement for next season.

Zwift Draft Indicator
If you’ve ever tried to surf wheels in a fast Zwift race or hang onto a group ride without blowing up, you know the struggle: “Am I actually in the draft or just pretending?” Zwift’s new Draft Indicator solves that. A visual bar now shows precisely how much shelter you’re getting from the rider ahead.
The wider the bar, the better your draft. Plus, it works everywhere: flat pack racing, pace partner sessions, and holding a wheel on a climb. It’s simple, intuitive, and something racers will lean on immediately.

New Ride Report
Zwift also rolled out a completely redesigned post-ride summary. It looks similar to others in the space and finally treats your session as a real training file.
After each ride, you’ll now see:
- Weekly goal progression
- Training score and training status
- Streak totals
- Career level, XP gains, and upgrade progress
Training Score combines intensity, duration, and frequency into a single number. Training Status slots you into one of the following zones: Ready, Fresh, Productive, Overreaching, or Detraining. All built to help you understand when to push and when to back off, not a bad thing, especially with the feast and famine rides over the holidays.
For the even more data-hungry, Zwift tracks your one-year personal bests for 5-second, 1-minute, 5-minute, and 20-minute power, as well as your FTP, Race Score, and performance pacing metrics.
What about bike upgrades? Bike upgrades get their own progress tracker. Each frame has five tiers to unlock, and you can now see exactly how far you are from your next upgrade without digging through menus.
All of this ties into Zwift Companion. Users will see live long-term graphs and trends.

Both the Draft Indicator and updated Progress Report are live in game version 1.104. If you spend any amount of time on the platform, be that winter base miles, group rides, workouts, structured training, squad race nights, boredom killer, holiday escape…these two updates will make Zwifting feel more tactical, more informative, and in the end, more rewarding.
