Specialized’s Globe line of city and commuter bikes had an extensive range on display…literally something for everyone.  From pared down single speeds like the one above to bikes with fenders, racks and gears.  If you’re of the belief that your single speed commuter should be some indy brand with all the labels removed and built from scratch with random parts, maybe it’s not for you.  But for the vast majority of people looking to trade in their cars for a bike on short trips and just want to walk in a shop and ride out ready to go, these fit the bill perfectly and are worlds better than anything they’ll find at big box stores.

This brown one reminded me of the Raleigh my dad had when I was little.
This green one has little fashion touches like wood-like fenders, gold chain, white/brown saddle and white grips.  Admittedly, this one would look pretty tight with an internal gear hub, but it shows that a full 21- or more speed bike is available.  Disc brakes, too.
