NAHBS 2010 – Cykelmageren had some sweet frames, but their components were stealing the show. Shown above is the cable pull brake lever. Pull the housing and it bends toward the bar and pulls the brakes. It’s sold as a system with the two grip end pieces, cable, brake and housing and your choice of grips. Price TBD.
Speaking of grips, they had an assortment of grip options, from wood to colored acrylic, that were interchangeable on their straight or bent handlebars, and a full custom hub kit aimed at shops
Make the jump for all the eye/bike candy…
The brake kit, shown with a random shift lever (see below).
For those still running downtube shift levers, Cykelmageren has your style upgrade.
The hubs (which you can see on their bikes in this post) will initially be sold as full kits to bike shops to offer their customers the ability to build custom designs. Featuring various acrylic, wood, chrome and other shell bodies, they use normal J-bend spokes to lace to any rim. It’s like a hubbet (buffet…get it? nevermind).
The pedals are pretty simply designed, too. No slots for toe straps, but the edges of the logo badge plates should provide some bite on grippy shoes.
Prices on everything shown here are TBD…it was all pretty fresh.
