From the brand that brings you the 29er cruiser bikes comes some BMX-inspired cockpit pieces for your big boy (or girl) bike. SE creates some boss rigs, with style and function in heated competition. Weight-weenies, turn away now – no carbon here. These are just good lookin’, affordable components. I’d say they are great for building up a custom around-towner or replacing stock components on BMX and fixies.
Three new products are offered – Floval cruiser bars (featured above), retro seat clamps, and fluted seatposts. Specs and pics after the break…
The Floval Cruiser Bars are offered in two colors, chrome and black. Made from high quality steel, these don’t look to snap in half like the aluminum Nitto risers. I’ll have the opportunity to try similar bars when I start my fixed freestyle career. Until then, all bones and sinews remain intact.

These were the talk of the town before becoming the hype of the hipsters. Grooves down the side were thought to reduce weight. Later, manufacturers developed different methods, though the aesthetic appeal remains. The fluted seatpost would be at home on a vintage-esque frame in a really cool part of town.
