Trailcraft Pineridge premium youth 24inch mountain bikes in new turquoise color

Trailcraft has added two new colors to their Pineridge 24 youth hardtail mountain bikes, Turquoise and Orange. Reminiscent of the hot colors coming from several big brands this year, the new hues are in stock now and ready to make your little one very, very happy this holiday season.

The brand started when founder Ginger Rosenbauer couldn’t find a high quality, lightweight bike for her son to ride. It’s offered in alloy and titanium frames, and both are available with rigid or suspension forks. And they’re all light, with the Pineridge alloy 1×10 build coming in at 21.5 pounds (9.75kg) and the 2×10 at 22.15 pounds (10.05kg), both with RST First air fork.

Check out the orange color and pricing, below…

With more and more medium and large brands entering the kids’ market, there are still a few features that make Trailcraft’s bikes stand out. The biggest is the custom-for-them Stan’s Crest tubeless-ready 24″ wheels and Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires. The frame is double butted 7005 aluminum with short 390mm chainstays.

Pricing starts at $1,699 for both the 1x and 2x bikes, or $1,199 for a frameset with frame, fork, wheels and cranks. We’ve got one on review, check out the first impressions here. If you’ve already got your kid on a bike and are just looking to drop a pound or more, they also sell the youth-sized 1x crankset on it’s own.

Damn. Wish this was around 5-7 years ago when my kids where riding 24″. Like everyone else we had to mod crappy 28 pound bikes.

OK, they are good bikes for kids but does the addition of two new colors, and nothing else, warrant an entire report.

Those are seriously expensive bikes. Hard to justify versus Islabikes at that price.

I agree with Dave. Two new colour does not warrant an article.

Colors are not necessarily hot news, but it is well timed with Christmas when most families are thinking about bike purchases to put under the tree. Cool innovative stuff like this is way more interesting that crappy Target Star Wars bikes as posted above that no one else buys.

I have a 6 month old and can’t wait to share my love of riding with him. Nice equipment like this will make it all the easier. I just had both hips scoped this fall so I’ll have to relearn how to walk(and he’ll have to learn how to walk) first this spring.
