Coming in two flavors, Floyd’s of Leadville has now added their CBD oil to a recovery drink mix meant to help you recover, rebuild and relax. Each serving has 25mg of CBD oil to manage the “relax” part of the post-ride equation, and 27g of whey proteins handles the rest.

They’ll be available for sale in a couple weeks, retailing for $39.95 for a 10-serving pouch. Each serving also contains some carbs, with just 5g of sugar, from non-GMO sources. Available in Chocolate and Vanilla, they’ll mix easily with water or milk. Can’t wait? Head to RAAM and get an early taste, or just take 10% of anything else they sell with promo code “FLORAAM“FOLRAAM” (corrected) on their website.

Oral consumption of CBD can include products such as capsules, edibles, and oils. This method is popular due to its ease of use. Oral consumption is a quick and familiar method that is used for many supplements.

When consumed orally, CBD passes through the digestive system and circulates through the liver. The bioavailability of CBD is reduced during what is known as “first pass metabolism”. When consumed, CBD is metabolized by the liver and in other sites such as the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, and blood. This reduces the amount of CBD that is present in the bloodstream.

The bioavailability of THC through oral consumption ranges from 4-20%. Sufficient data is not available for the bioavailability of CBD, which is why researchers are enthusiastic about the abundance of CBD research that is currently being conducted. As mentioned previously, factors such as absorption and metabolism are responsible for the low bioavailability.

While oral consumption has a lower bioavailability than other methods, it has been shown to have longer lasting effects.

Recover, rebuild and “relax”, LOL. Sounds about what you’d expect from Floyd the Doper.

You mean the entire peloton right? Don’t be mad that he exposed the truth about what any informed individual already knew was going on but people like John chose to ignore in their unicorn fantasy.

Floyd was all-in as a doper, as bad as the worst of them — right up until he got caught and was subsequently stripped of his TdF title.

Only then did he launch a campaign to try to sanitize his image by throwing his literal(!) partners-in-crime under the bus, making himself out to be some kind of saint (which guys like LargeD above and sites like BR continue to swallow hook, line, and sinker).

But the facts are that he committed the exact same fraud against USPS that Lance did, and then turned around and tried to sue his accomplice for the same crimes he himself committed. He should have received the exact same lifetime ban as Lance, but he was only pushed out of the sport when his sponsors dried up. He’s a hypocrite, plain and simple, and should be called out on his hypocrisy instead of being put on some sort of whitewashed pedestal. Pot. Kettle. Black.

If you hate what Lance did to the sport, you have to hate what Floyd (and the rest) did in equal measure.

If there was any truth in advertising the two flavors would be “Doper” and “Hypocrite”.

So he should forever be strip of any ability to do anything right?
Would you hire him as a carpenter? A coach? A bus driver? An accountant?

At what point do you just need to realize what he did was wrong, forgive and move on? He’s used his experience to create a nice product. Judge the product on its own merit.

Way to take this opportunity to leverage an unrelated product blurb as a way to say you don’t like doping in the peleton. We get it and it’s awesome that you feel strongly about keeping our sport clean. What’s not awesome is saying that because someone did something bad in the past he now can never ever do anything good again. That’s a slippery slope, man.

John,
what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this fourm room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
P.S EVERYBODY WAS DOPING! LANCE WAS JUST THE BEST AT IT. GET OVER IT!!

You will have to explain to me the US obsession with genetically modified crops. It always confuses me that a country that merrily allows HFCS, wood pulp and disturbing amounts of fecal matter into it’s food supply gets upset at the prospect of eating GM Tomatoes.

GMOs are “sciencey”, and since most Americans are scientifically illiterate and hate having their ill-formed scientific opinions challenged, they attack science.

Don’t even ask about vaccines and anthropogenic global warming.

I was mocking the credibility of listing the “GMO free” status of sugar as a positive aspect of a product that appears to trade on the allure of an extract from a plant that is consumed as an illegal drug (in my country at least) by a former user of illegal drugs whose credibilty was further dimished by an incredible series of denials before a “confession”. They can “GMO” my tomatoes all they want if it makes them taste better.

BTW my view is that any cyclist using illegal drugs is a cheat and steals from clean competitors. I will never respect any of them.

I have no problem if people want to dope, just so long as they are given their own class. I mean, if they are willing to put their bodies on the line, i’d watch the equivalent of a group B rally car race on bicycles. Machine gun quads, it would be epic. Just call it for what it is and enjoy.

Kind of like a “run-what-you’ve-brung” class.

With three stipulations:
You have to declare your “program” and what chemistries you are utilizing.
If a medical research group wants to study you then you have to let them.
And you sign a do not resuscitate form.

Group-B is a good analogy, except in this case the cyclist is standing at the apex of a blind 5th gear turn, wearing a blindfold and ear plugs.

Floyd was simply a sycophant cruising in the wake of the most militant and sophisticated doping scandal in sports history. He jumped the shark in his attack on Morzine in 2006 on stage 17. I think He even dropped the moto’s. And in a circular fashion after his positive test he tried to drop the very structure that helped him drape a yellow jersey on his back by calling them out. Sorry Floyd as a consumer I would prefer to puff puff pass on your new cannibas based venture. I would prefer to get it from growers who, may be baked, but aren’t setting up gofundme accounts to subsidize the kind of lie you were perpetrating.
